As we all know, February is Black History Month and it started off pretty well, if you ask me. But something else has come to my attention recently. Two amazing shows that I’m about to talk about, Black Lightning and Grown-ish. Both of these shows were kind of on everyone’s “If I have time I’ll watch it” list. Now, they have become “I want to tune in every week” shows. Black Lightning and Grown-ish have also earned an achievement most tv shows have not. They both have the highest viewer rate on a premiere date from the CW and Freeform. What makes these shows so special? And why are so many people tuning in weekly now? Each show has a diverse cast and they also hit on major issues in almost every episode, which I will explain in a few.

It’s about that time of year again, where the Syfy channel does it’s annual Twilight Zone New Years Eve Marathon. This is one time of the year that I truly look forward to. I have seen most of these episodes over a million times, but I always find myself catching an episode I don’t remember or I have never seen. Thanks to my uncle for getting me into Twilight Zone many years ago. Whenever it was on, I always saw the title of the show but never knew what it was until I saw him sitting down and watching it. I never knew how many people actually watched the marathon since growing up none of my friends were ever really into this show, except for the occasional people that you would never expect. Now for all those who don’t know about the Twilight Zone, it is a series that started back in the late 1950’s to the early 1960’s with the amazing narrator Rod Serling. Each episode brings you into a different mystery of a different dimension, with strange and interesting things. Each episode is different from the other, and several celebrities have guest starred in a few of these episodes.

Now that we’ve had some time to mentally process Game of Thrones and actually breathe from experiencing this roller coaster ride of a show, let’s take a moment to analyze what the hell we just watched.
**SPOILER ALERT** DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED SEASON 7. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!
Game of Thrones came in with a BANG this season. No stone was left unturned and a lot of our burning questions were finally answered. Granted, there is still A LOT we don’t know and I expect Season 8 to be jaw-dropping good with an ending we won’t see coming — I hope.
Before the season started, I had a number of predictions that I — 100% — thought would occur (well…actually…maybe it was more like 85%, if I come to think of it). I based most of my predictions off the books and hoped the directors would not forsake George R. R. Martin’s artistic genius in Season 7. Boy, was I wrong.
